Job Description

Summary

The Sales Agent is responsible for generating sales appointments with customers that contact the dealership via the internet to purchase new and/or pre-owned vehicles. The Sales Agent delivers a premium customer experience by responding to customer inquiries in a prompt, professional, accurate and courteous manner. This highly accountable position uses lead management tools, CRM software and the internet to manage inquiry flow, update customer files, and closely track customer interest. The Sales Agent will be trained to understand all products and services offered, will become knowledgeable of inventory as well as financing and incentive programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to internet inquiries with courtesy, accuracy and professionalism
  • Promptly and accurately enter all customer inquiry data into the CRM.
  • Generate sales appointments
  • Conduct phone surveys to assess customer preferences and quality of experience
  • Effectively utilize lead management tools
  • Compile all necessary reports, forms and other documentation on a timely basis
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Exhibit ethical behavior, provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction and be honest in all aspects of dealing with customers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm for automobiles and a genuine interest in helping customers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in automotive sales.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.

Compensation (Draw plus commission):

  • OTE (On-Target-Earnings): $55,000 - $100,000+ / year

*The Salesperson Position has a pay scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Monthly Draw of one-thousand five-hundred dollars a month. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit*

Schedule:

  • Full-time - 40-hour work-week
  • 5x days a week
  • Off Sundays and 1x weekday off
