Annual Pay Range:
$36k-$100k depending on sales
Job Description
The Automotive Acquisition Consultant is primarily responsible for executing a comprehensive vehicle acquisition process. This includes prospecting for potential sellers, conducting vehicle appraisals, and presenting competitive purchase offers to current vehicle owners. The goal is to acquire quality vehicles from multiple sources for resale.
This role requires extensive cold calling, consistent follow-up, and regular computer-based communication to generate leads, maintain relationships, and manage the purchasing pipeline effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Contacting and engaging vehicle owners to appraise and purchase used vehicles.
- Greeting dealership guests and presenting purchase offers on their current vehicles.
- Utilizing inventory management systems and monitoring local market trends.
- Conducting appraisals and participating in daily trade walks.
- Maintaining organized prospecting and follow-up systems to drive repeat and referral business.
- Supporting the sales team and introducing guests to Sales Associates
- Staying knowledgeable on vehicle values, equity, depreciation, product features, and applicable laws.
- Attending required meetings and training sessions.
- Meeting performance goals while maintaining professionalism, teamwork, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and computer skills.
- Professional appearance and ability to meet performance standards.
- Dealership, sales, or marketing experience preferred.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Candidates must pass background screening, MVR, drug test, credit check, and have a valid driver’s license.
