Job Description
The Document Specialist is responsible for preparing deals for the F&I department to be sent to the Billing Clerk. This is an entry level role into the F&I Department, assisting our F&I team with detailed paperwork.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Submit paperwork to and obtain approval from finance sources on all finance deals.
- Ensure that all required documentation is obtained and submitted to the finance source so that finance contract can be paid in a timely manner.
- Work with Sales Manager to secure a reasonable profit from every sale.
- Check all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, etc.
- Establish and meet monthly objectives.
- Verify insurance with customers’ agents, obtain deposits, verify trade payoffs.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
- Some weekend work required
Experience in an automotive dealership or office environment preferred.
Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency and pride in getting paperwork right the first time.
Ability to learn and execute dealership finance and sales documentation quickly and accurately.
Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment where priorities shift daily.
Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple deals at once.
Professional, trustworthy, and discreet when handling sensitive customer and financial information.
Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset — you’ll work closely with F&I and Sales Managers.
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn dealership systems (Dealertrack, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, RouteOne, etc.).
Positive attitude, coachable, and motivated to grow within the dealership.
Required:
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.
Compensation (hourly/spiffs)
- $20.00 per hour
- Additional compensation based on performance and CSI
Schedule:
- Full Time
- Friday/Saturday availability required
