Dave Smith Motors is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated New Vehicle Prep Technician to join our high-volume New Vehicle Prep Team. This role is essential to delivering an exceptional customer experience — ensuring every new vehicle is inspected, accessorized, and ready for delivery at the highest standard.

Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
The New Vehicle Prep Technician is responsible for the complete pre-delivery process of new vehicles, including inspections, dealer-installed accessories, cosmetic preparation, quality checks, and digital reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Perform full Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) following manufacturer guidelines.
- Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (MPVI) as required.
- Prepare vehicles for delivery, including fluids, tire pressures, fuel, and protective material removal.
- Install dealer-added accessories (floor mats, mud flaps, running boards, tonneau covers, bed liners, etc.).
- Follow proper torque specs, wiring procedures, and installation standards.
- Ensure vehicles meet dealership readiness standards before release.
- Document work performed thoroughly and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety guidelines.
- Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair procedures.
- Must have own set of tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
Compensation (Hourly: Flat-rate):
- $18.00 - $20.00 / hour
- Depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications
(The Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $18.00 and $20.00)
Schedule
- FULL TIME
- 5 days a week / 2 days off
- Sundays off
