$20-$55/hr based upon your certifications and experience.

Job Description

The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. S/he also will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Road-test drive vehicles
  • Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
  • Communicate directly with Service Advisor to ensure customers are informed if any additional services are needed.
  • Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. 
  • Document work performed.
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.     

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Strong customer service skills - High CSI is a must
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Must be comfortable with pre-employment requirements, including: Drug testing, background check, and Motor Vehicle Report 

Desired Qualifications:

  • ASE or Manufacturer training
  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
  • Previous experience at an an automotive dealership
