Job Description
Summary:
The Collision Estimator will serve as the primary point of contact for customers and insurance partners throughout the repair process, from estimate to delivery.
This role is responsible for writing accurate repair estimates, coordinating workflow, and helping drive profitability and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced collision center.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write detailed, accurate repair estimates using estimating software
- Perform vehicle walkarounds to identify visible and hidden damage
- Communicate with customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians to align on scope and status
- Maintain consistent follow-up with customers throughout the repair cycle
- Upload required documentation, photos, and supplements to insurance portals
- Collaborate with the parts department to order and verify timely delivery of components
- Schedule repairs, coordinate production timelines, and monitor cycle times
- Ensure DRP compliance and documentation accuracy for billing
- Review final repairs with the customer and collect payment as needed
- Support monthly sales goals and CSI targets by maintaining strong repair order volume
- Must have prior experience as a Collision Estimator (minimum 2 years)
- Proficient with industry-standard estimating software (CCC ONE or similar)
- Strong knowledge of insurance DRP procedures and supplement processes
- Exceptional communication and follow-up skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license

- Experience working in a dealership-based collision center
