Job Description

Summary:

The Service Porter supports the service department by greeting customers, moving and parking vehicles, and ensuring the dealership’s service area is clean, organized, and efficient. This role helps create a positive customer experience while maintaining smooth service drive operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet all customers entering the service area with a friendly, professional attitude; answer questions and direct them to the appropriate person or location.
  • Determine if customers have service appointments and record customer name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and note any existing vehicle damage (walk-around).
  • Move and park vehicles on dealership premises to maintain a smooth traffic flow.
  • Drive vehicles to and from the service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
  • Keep the lot, driveways, and sidewalks clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Provide excellent customer service and direct guests to the correct personnel.
  • Retrieve customer vehicles at cashier for pick-up, deliver vehicle, and thank customers.
  • Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and ID tags in all vehicles.
  • Assist the service department as needed, such as replenishing fluids or minor vehicle assistance.
  • Follow all company safety policies and report any accidents immediately to a manager or supervisor.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles (or willingness to learn if required).
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA
  • Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing, background check, MVR.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a porter, valet, or in a similar automotive or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with dealership operations or service drive processes.

Compensation (Hourly):

  • $16.00+ / hour

Schedule:

  • FULL TIME
  • Sundays Always Off
  • Saturday Availability Required
