Job Description
Job Summary
An Accounting Analyst in the Shared Services Center - General Accounting department performs processing- and transaction-level accounting and control functions. The overall purpose and objective of this job is to transfer many of those functions from the dealership level to a centralized location to improve both efficiency and effectiveness/quality. The main task for this position will be to process and post finance reserve statements.
Essential Functions
The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of an Accounting Analyst in the Shared Services Center - General Accounting department may include some or all of the following:
- Process, review, and post finance reserve statements.
- Post the bulk invoice file from the procure-to-pay system to the system of record daily and perform the reconciliation for this posting.
- Research outstanding checks and facilitate the void/reissue process or movement of those items to unclaimed property.
- Assist with general department tasks such as progress/status tracking and reporting.
- Work closely with other team members to cross train and share best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
An Accounting Analyst in the Shared Services Center - General Accounting department must have strong written and spoken communication skills. Proficiency with Excel is also required. An Accounting Analyst should typically have some accounting experience and/or education.
Desired Experience
Experience in the automotive retail industry and with CDK-DMS is preferable but not required. An Accounting Analyst in the Shared Services Center - General Accounting department should typically have some accounting experience and/or education.
