Job Description

Job Summary:

The Payroll HRIS Analyst III will report into Sonic Shared Services and be responsible for daily operational tasks related to payroll tax payment and garnishment reconciliation, payroll year-end reconciliation, payroll system configuration, and Cognos reporting. This position supports the Payroll operations team with acquisitions and dispositions as appropriate. This position may also be responsible for project work as deemed appropriate by the Payroll Management Team. 

Essential Functions:
•    Update configuration of UKG HCM system as appropriate to ensure teammate records are accurate and accurate pay is calculated 

                                
•Ensue payroll tax and garnishment disbursements are verified and reconciled                                    
•Reconcile quarter and year-end process as appropriate to ensure year-end accuracy                                    
• Create and Update BI reports as needed/expected to ensure accurate reporting is provided to team and to stores as needed for payroll data   

                                 
•Respond timely to inquires from management, Associate Resource Centers, dealership partners, 3rd party partners, and teammates when appropriate.  

                                 
•Create BI reports as requested by leadership as needed     

                               
•Actively participate in special projects as assigned by management.                                     

Minimum Qualifications:
•    Minimum 10 years’ experience in multi-state payroll processing
•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Word 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to work in a Shared Services environment
•    UKG (Ultipro) Experience a plus
•    Preference given for candidates with FPC or CPP
•    Professional attitude and appearance

 Desired Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years experience in multi-state payroll processing. Candidates should have experience with large volume payrolls consisting of 4,000 associates or more.  Working knowledge of involuntary deductions (i.e. garnishments, child support orders, tax levies) is desired.  Candidates should have thorough knowledge of all payroll and payroll tax withholding and filing related rules and regulations and have strong knowledge of "best-in- industry" practices.  This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills.  Candidates must be detail oriented, results oriented, and have an ability to think strategically.
