Job Description
We are looking for Automotive Sales Consultant to join our team! The Sales Consultant sells automobiles by understanding and demonstrating characteristics, capabilities, and features; by developing and qualifying buyers; and by closing sales.
What You’ll Do:
- Understands automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; by comparing and contrasting competitive models; and by inspecting automobiles
- Develops buyers by maintaining rapport with previous customers, suggesting trade-ins, meeting prospects at community activities, greeting drop-ins, responding to inquiries, and recommending sales campaigns and promotions
- Qualifies buyers by understanding buyer's requirements and interests, matching requirements and interests to various models, and building rapport
- Demonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features; taking drives; and explaining warranties and services
- Closes sales by overcoming objections; asking for sales; negotiating price; completing sales or purchase contracts; explaining provisions; explaining and offering warranties, services, and financing; collecting payment; and delivering automobile.
- Provides sales management information by completing reports
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications
- Enhances dealership reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Maintains CRM follow up processes and loads all customers into Dealership CRM
- Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
- Completes and maintains all CRM procedures and follow-up processes
- Handles customer complaints or escalates when necessary
- Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
- Coordinates and works with coworkers and team members
- Follows all safety and security procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- One year of relevant automotive sales experience preferred
- Strong phone, internet, and computer skills, including a CRM and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Valid driver's license
- Vehicle knowledge a must
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as a member of a team
- Dedication to punctuality and attendance is vital
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- High level of professionalism
- Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
