Salary: Salary $35,000-$42,000
Sells parts to guests, over the counter, through the shop, or on the phone.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be directly responsible for the following items, as set at the sole discretion of the company, which may be changed from time to time:
Assists all guests (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
Informs guests of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the guest is exposed to the full product line.
Provides high level of service to external guests and internal customers.
Pulls and fills orders form stock.
Notifies parts manger of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
Locates out-of-stock parts form outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
Notifies the service advisor and the guest when special ordered parts have been received.
Follow up on back-ordered parts.
Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
Replenishes assigned inventory daily.
Assists outside sales representatives. With their orders.
Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
Issues and tracks requested shop tools to technicians.
Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up.
Solicits assigned accounts by phone.
Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
Cleans computer terminals and printers daily.
Participates in all training programs that are made available.
Keeps current on new products and product updates.
Participates with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking system.
Maintains a safe work environment.
Attends department meetings.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Realize that the company’s business is built on guest satisfaction and devote himself/herself to guaranteeing satisfaction to guests.
Determine management, production and quality requirements by asking questions and listening.
Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects.
Maintain current knowledge and familiarity with new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits.
Establish personal performance goals that are consistent with company standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
Report to Parts Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analyses.
Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
Understand the terminology of the business and keep abreast of technology changes in the product.
Know and understand the federal, state and local requirements which govern the company’s business.
Follow directions from a supervisor.
Understand and follow work rules and procedures.
Accept constructive criticism.
Interact well with others and be a positive influence on associate morale.
Must sign voluntarily the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement and be able to be faithful to its provisions.
Must be willing and able to assign or offer to assign to the company any invention that you develop.
High school [or college] diploma or the equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Professional personal appearance. Excellent communication skills. Ability to meet company’s production and quality standards.
