Job Description

SUMMARY:

Sonic Automotive is growing and evolving our Procure to Pay functions and need an experienced P2P System Administrator to lead the optimization of our Coupa instance serving many core functions and over 2000 users.   This is a new role on the National Procure to Pay Team so if you have a passion for helping your teammates by optimizing their processes and systems, please consider this role with us.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work with Business Unit leadership to document, design, and configure Coupa to provide solutions for new process requests in an effective and user-friendly way.

Provide periodic training of Level 1 Customer Support and Accounts Payable staff on new Coupa functionality to expand effectiveness of first contact responses.

Partner with IT and Supplier Enablement team to support integrations with interfacing systems.

Work closely with Process Automation team on efficiency projects that involve leveraging Coupa.  RPA projects often require optimizing current configurations.

Produces, maintains, and executes plans for user acceptance testing for new Coupa releases.

Develop industry specific business process knowledge in order to identify and propose process efficiencies.

Collaborate with Coupa and outside consultants to optimize Sonic's use of the platform.

Create training materials and participate in end user Coupa training sessions, as necessary.

Support the Supplier Enablement function through development of training documentation and knowledge of cXML, API and Coupa Supplier Portal solutions.

Serve as day to day escalated support for issues related to Coupa configurations and integrations impacting the procure to pay process.

Perform daily maintenance items not handled by Level 1 support team.

Assist Audit, SOX, Tax, Legal and other departments in development of reports on key performance indicators and to support business management needs.

Maintain internal items, forms, and catalogs for various use cases beyond supplier products and services.

Willing to travel if needed (10-15% maximum) to support new location openings or pilot implementations of new functionality.

Training

Develop mixed media reference materials (user guide, screen captures, etc.) for publishing in system resource areas and learning management system.

Regularly organize and lead remote or in person training sessions to educate user base.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Business or Information Systems.

Strong desire and competency to administer and own the Coupa environment at Sonic Automotive.

Excellent communication skills for interfacing with suppliers, colleagues, peers and all levels of management over email, phone, and video conferencing.

2+ years of P2P System administration or use of the system as a power user, Coupa preferred.

High-level analytical skills with ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.

Adaptable to change in a fast-paced work environment; ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities with competing priorities.

Comfortable leading one on one and group (up to 10 people) trainings as subject matter expert.

Proficient in the MS Office suite.
