Purpose:
The Network Architect II is a key member of the business technology technical leadership team. The NA II is the owner of the enterprise network design, network operational support, and subject matter expert for Cisco, F5 and Riverbed equipment. In addition to the technical operations support, this person will also be responsible for coordinating with security operations to set network standards enterprise wide. This position is highly visible and accountable.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
•         Manage the network operations for a Fortune 300 company
•         Expertise in Cisco networking operations and design.
•         Expertise in Cisco networking operations and design.
•         Enterprise routing and switching.
•         Enterprise WAN optimization.
•         Enterprise network design and standardizations.
•         VoIP, QoS, and network utilization reporting.
•         Data center core equipment management.
•         Lead networking projects and standardization efforts
•         Provide tier 3 resource for network problem resolution
•         Ability to work 24/7.
•         Act as a technical lead for other networking staff.
Qualifications:
•         Undergraduate degree in technical or related field of study.
•         Minimum 10-years relevant experience working in an IT networking role.
•         Enterprise routing and switching knowledge including BGP and EIGRP.
•         Enterprise WAN management experience (MPLS, internet and MetroEthernet).
•         WAN/LAN capacity planning experience (VoIP, QoS)
•         Extensive experience working on network design/architecture
•         Extensive experience working on Cisco Nexus core (7k/5k)
•         Cisco CCNP or higher certification
Desired Experience:
•         Experience with Riverbed WAN optimization technologies.
•         Experience with F5 load balancing technologies, and Cisco ISE
•         Experience with VPN technologies.
•         Experience with NetQOS and networking monitoring utilities.
•         Firewall experience a plus (Palo Alto preferred)
