Summary:
The Business System Analyst (BSA) is a key member of the Development & Innovation Application Development team managing the requirements gathering, enhancements/ testing and implementation of Sonic’s applications and technology solutions.  The BSA position works closely with Sonic Automotive business partners, process owners and SMEs, and strategic vendors to deliver quality technology solutions. 
 
Essential Functions:

•           Facilitates requirements gathering for initiatives/ new projects

•           Manages requirements for assigned projects from inception to release/ warrantee period

•           Collaborates with development team as solutions are being built

•           Tests delivered applications to insure they properly meet requirements

•           Responsible for the knowledge transfer to support resources

•           Assists with application implementation as needed

•           Able to work independently and manage and prioritize multiple ongoing project tasks

•           Effectively communicate status, changes, and issues to the relevant parties and stakeholders

•           Able to conduct impact assessments and recommend technical solutions

•           Serve as the liaison between the business process owner and the development team

•           Accountable for the successful and timely delivery of all assigned project tasks
 
 
Minimum Qualifications:

•           Strong soft skills – verbal, written, collaboration and team building

•           Strong understanding of both traditional SDLC and the Agile methodology

•           Ability to operate in a dynamic environment

•           Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of BSA experience

•           Problem solver with the initiative to think critically to identify improvement opportunities

•           Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate and execute on details

•           Demonstrated ability to effectively participate in multiple concurrent projects

•           Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and as an individual contributor
