Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence Analyst – Finance, is a key member of the Business Intelligence Reporting team dedicated to developing, delivering and empowering users in business intelligence.  This position is strategically aligned with the FP& A, Field Financial and Data Analytics business units to collaborate, deliver and support enterprise internal reporting solutions and ad hoc reporting needs. Develops and documents business objectives, requirements, and specifications. Possesses strong analytical, leadership, communication, and documentation skills. Works closely with the business users as well as application development teams to deliver high quality BI solutions. 
Essential Functions:
  • Serve as liaison between the business and data/technical teams
  • Assist with Finance/Accounting reporting need
  • Responsible for driving a major reporting project to provide standard operational and budget performance reporting as well as ad hoc analysis.   
  • Elicit technical requirements from the business process owner and business leads
  • Manage, document and communicate requirements related to BI applications and reporting
  • Work with vendors and internal business units to facilitate the delivery of BI solutions
  • Facilitate meetings to work through technical issues as they arise
  • Test applications to ensure they properly meet the requirements and solve the business needs
  • Responsible for end user training and support of BI tools
  • Able to work independently to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing project tasks
  • Effectively communicate status, changes, and issues to the relevant parties and stakeholders
  • Provide technical credibility to the organization and answer technical questions from the Business
  • Able to conduct impact assessments and recommend technical solutions
  • Accountable for the successful and timely delivery of all assigned project tasks
  • Assist and/or manage the resolution of production issues
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in Accounting and/or Financial Reporting/Analysis
  • Experience with MicroStrategy BI platform
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong soft skills – verbal, written, collaboration and team building
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of Finance/BA or related experience
  • Problem solver with the initiative to think critically to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and execute on details.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively participate in multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and as an individual contributor.
Desired Experience:
  • Automotive industry knowledge preferred
  • Experience with Essbase/HFM reporting
