Salary: $24 - $30/hr
Job Description
Our DMV/Contracts Clerk will be responsible for the processing of all car deals. This includes but not limited to verifying costs for the accounting department, including the costs of reconditioning and equipment add-ons, and handles the legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Job Description
Compliance all used car deals and post into accounting
Process pay-off checks for trade-ins and mail to appropriate financial institution in a timely manner.
Process all used car purchases
Process all sister store trades/wholesales
Complete monthly physical inventory reconciliations
Processes all used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder paid off before processing title applications.
Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete
Signs over titles for all wholesalers who have paid in full.
Prepares a weekly report to management of any additional items needed to clear DMV registration
Perform monthly sales license checks
Processes yearly renewal of dealer tags in conjunction with comptroller
Stays abreast of title regulations. Attends seminars held by local licensing bureaus and any available training on title regulations.
Cross-trains others to handle title clerk daily responsibilities.
Conducts periodic training sessions for managers and sales personnel regarding title regulations and procedures and issues a written memo to managers and all sales personnel whenever regulations change.
Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.
Provide administrative support to management, other departments and employees
as needed.
Backup office personnel as needed
Perform daily funding on any non-e-contract deals
Perform weekly schedule reviews
Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Must have CDK experience
AVRS experience preferred (not required)
Must have prior DMV experience
Must have prior billing/contracts experience
Must be willing to work OT as needed
Basic working knowledge of accounting
Good interpersonal and oral communication skills
Computer literate; accurate with 10 key pad and typing
Valid drivers license and a good driving record
Must be able to multitask and work under pressure
· High school diploma or the equivalent.
· Experience within a Automotive dealership oporations office.
· Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
· Valid drivers license and a good driving record.
· Manual dexterity.
· Good Judgment

· All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license
