Job Description

 Sonic Automotive is a fortune 300 company and is one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States.   Sonic Automotive operates in 12 states, is comprised of over 100 dealerships, and represents 29 different brands of automobiles. These dealerships provide numerous services, including sales of new and used cars; sales of replacement parts; vehicle maintenance, warranty, paint, and collision repair services; and arrangement of extended warranty contracts, financing, and insurance for the company's customers.    In June 2014, Sonic opened a Shared Services Center located in Charlotte, NC.

 

Purpose:

 The Human Resources Admin Assistant ensures that all personnel files are accounted for and complete.  You will be working in our Associate Resource Center and be responsible for maintaining our files for 70 plus dealerships of varying sizes. This is a very key position and requires extreme organization and patience.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

§  Organize all paperwork in each file; check for completeness

§  Answer phones, emails, and assist other associates in the office with duties as requested. 

§  Maintain all personnel and medical files for 70 plus automotive dealerships.  

§  Data entry of associate information (taxes, direct deposit, address changes)

§  Checking for pre-hire screening results.

§  Providing administrative support to managers and other associates as needed.

§  Scanning associate files for online storage.

§  Prepare files for offsite scanning.

§  Any other duties as assigned by supervisors

  •    Computer experience is required
    • MS Office Suite
    • Smart Recruiters
    • Oracle Fusion
  •   Human Resources Knowledge is a plus
  •   Self-motivated; able to effectively prioritize tasks and organize schedule. 
  •  Able to work on your own and takes initiative
  •  Basic working knowledge of how to file
