Facilities Property Manager in Charlotte, NC at Sonic Automotive

Job Description

Basic Function:  

Function as part of the Procurement team.  Develops and manages facility repairs and capital improvement projects, including bidding and project implementation with Sonic Automotive’ s preferred facilities management partner.  Monitors budgets to ensure project expenditures and scope of work are maintained.  Serves as a liaison between Sonic Automotive dealerships teammates and Sonic Automotive preferred facilities management partner. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Manage, coordinate, and exercise functional responsibility for facility management services with Sonic Automotive’ s preferred facilities management partner.

·         Routinely communicate with facilities management partner to discuss facility issues and monitor dealership’s level of satisfaction.

·         Monitors project budget summaries assuring expenditures are within approved budget, tracking changes to the contract documents that may result in change orders.  Makes recommendations to the facilities management partner, as necessary. 

·         Manage project financial reports, accounting, and submission of proposal in Sonic Automotive internal approval system.

·          Prepare project budgets and budget development, as requested 

·         Manage overall program schedule/timeliness to complete work orders

·         Assist Sonic Automotive’ s facilities management partner with emergency responses, as needed.

·         Handle other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from 4-year accredited college or university; emphasis in supply chain management and/or commercial property/facility management preferred
• At least three years of experience in commercial property/facility management
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience preparing annual property budgets
• Project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities without losing sight of individual details
• Strong negotiation and leadership skills
• Excellent planning, organizational and decision-making skills required
• Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Displays confidence when interacting with both internal and external personnel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Construction experience, preferred
• Ability to plan, organize, and efficiently manage time and tasks
• Strong consultative skills with the proven ability to influence others
• A proven self-starter that can work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment 

 Desired Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

IREM Certified Property Manager designation, and/or PMP
